How scoring works
Verified data, named sources, honest gaps.
The Spend Forward score is composed only from verified third-party impact data — never reviews, never crowd opinion, never our own guess.
The nine dimensions & their named authority
These are the same nine dimensions you weight on the live scorer — your slider ranking decides how much each one counts toward the composite. Each maps to exactly one named, third-party authority. Here they’re grouped into four families.

Nine dimensions, nine named authorities. Want a different source for a dimension? That's a deliberate, reviewable choice — flag it and we swap it, on the record.
How the scores are combined
Every source is put on the same 0–100 scale first — letter grades, indices, and pass/fail certifications all translated the same way — so they can be compared. Your score is then the weighted average of those dimensions, using your slider weights. A dimension you set to zero doesn’t count toward the number.
